What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and pre-authorized payments.
Do you have any boxes or packing supplies available for purchase?
Yes, many of our locations have moving and packing supplies available for purchase in-store. Additionally, we also offer the ability to add packing supplies to your order when moving-in using our online rental form.
Do you offer any discounts or promotions?

How do I make a payment?
You can pay in person at the office, by phone for credit cards or by clicking the 'Pay Bill' button at the top of the page and then selecting your Make Space Storage location.

We offer a short grace period. If a payment is missed, a late fee may apply and access could be temporarily restricted until payment is made.

How do I book a storage unit?
To book a storage unit, select your nearest Make Space Storage location by searching your address in the search bar at the top of the page. From there you'll just need to select the unit that you'd like to rent and then fill out the form to complete your move-in.
What size storage units do you offer?
We offer a range of unit sizes to fit your needs, from small 5x5 units to large 10x30 units. However, sizes vary by location - you can check our current availability online by selecting your nearest Make Space Storage location or you can also contact us for help choosing the right fit.
When can I access my storage unit?
Most of our locations offer access between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM, with some providing extended hours. You can view the access hours for each facility by searching your address in the search bar at the top of the page and visiting that location’s page.
Is there a minimum rental term?
Yes, our rentals operate on a 4-week (28-day) billing cycle. This means you’ll be charged for the full cycle, regardless of whether you use the unit for the entire period or just part of it.
Do you provide locks or do I need to bring my own?
When renting a new storage unit, you’ll need to provide your own lock. We do sell new locks at many of our facilities, which can be added to your order during the online move-in process. You can also contact your local facility to check availability and ask about other packing supplies you may need.
How much does it cost to rent a unit?
Unit prices vary based on size, location, and features like heating or climate control. You can view real-time pricing for each location directly on our website when browsing our available units
Are there any items that I've not allowed to store?
We do not allow hazardous materials (gasoline, propane, etc.), firearms, perishable or edible items.
Portable Storage FAQ’s
What sizes of portable storage units do you have available.
We offer 20’ containers at most of our locations that offer a portable storage service, with other options as 40’ containers and 20' mobile offices available in select areas. These units are ideal for moving, renovations, or long-term storage.
What are the dimensions of a portable storage container?
Our portable storage containers are about 8 feet wide and 8.5 feet high. The length varies, with the most common sizes being 20 or 40 feet.
How does delivery and pickup work?
For delivery, we'll drop the container at your location, you load it at your own pace, and then when you're done and want it moved away, just give us a call and we'll schedule a pickup to pick it up or transport - wherever you need it next.
Where are the containers stored if I’m not keeping it on my property?
Many of our locations offer off-site container storage. If you don’t have space to keep the container on your property, we can store it at our secure storage yard until you need access.
Can I move my container to a new location?
Yes! We can move your container to a new home or job site. Just give us a call, and we’ll guide you through the next steps and schedule the move with you.
Are the containers weatherproof and secure?
Yes, all our containers are wind- and water-tight with steel construction and lockable doors for added security.
How long can I rent a container for?
You can rent the container as long as you need it. Just keep in mind that our rentals are based on a 4-week (28 day) recurring cycle.
How much space do I need for the delivery?
Our deliveries are completed using a tilt-deck truck, meaning that we require a certain amount of space to drop off your container safely.
Width Required: Minimum of 14 ft. Height Required: Minimum of 18 ft. Length Required: Minimum of 65 ft for 20 ft containers.

Yes, many of our locations allow you to store small vehicles inside a storage unit. We recommend contacting your local facility directly to confirm availability and ensure you choose a unit that can accommodate drive-in access.
