Are my belongings safe from moisture?

Yes, if you are renting our climate-controlled units. They have continual air circulation and vents. Non-climate-controlled units however are more susceptible to moisture. We can provide packages of desiccants to place in your unit to help manage the moisture.

Do I need heated or unheated storage?

We recommend that pictures, photographs, art, books and good furniture be stored in climate-controlled units. Tools and patio sets are okay in unheated units year-round. Save money! Consider putting some items in a small unheated unit and the remainder in a heated unit.

What type of storage units do you have?

We have many different size units: some are climate controlled and some are not, some have an interior hallway entrance, and some have roll-up garage doors, others are on-site containers.

What type of documentation do I need to provide in order to rent a space?

You will need a driver’s license or some form of ID.

Do I need to sign a long-term lease?

No. Storage units are rented on a month to month basis and you can move out at any time as long as your account is paid up-to-date.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Do you sell boxes and packing supplies?

Does there have to be someone in the office to let me through the security gates?

No. Once you have been set up with an account you will be given a security code that will give you access to the facility 7 days a week during the posted gate hours.

Do you have handcarts and dollies available at your facility?

Yes, but only during office hours unless you have made prior arrangements.

Do you insure the contents of my storage unit?

No, you must carry your own insurance on the contents for flood, fire, theft and pests. Check with your home insurance provider regarding your stored items.

Who has access to my storage unit?

You, and only you! You place your own lock on the unit and you keep the key!

What if I don’t have any place to store a container?

You can load the container up at your convenience. Once it is packed, we will pick up the loaded container and transport it to our facility to store it for as long as you require. Whenever you are ready to reclaim your goods, we will deliver the loaded container and leave it with you until you are ready to return it empty. You can have access to your container at our facility during normal access hours.

How much notice do I have to give when I want to return my container?

None, you can call at any time to terminate your rental agreement. It may however take up to 7 days to arrange for the truck pick up, so it would be best to call a week ahead.

What is Portable Storage?

Portable Storage is a steel shipping container that is delivered to your location for your storage needs. They are built to withstand the very harshest conditions to protect your valuable items. Every storage container is secure, durable, and strong.
