Our story.
Our story began in 2004 with a single self-storage facility in Pender Harbour, BC, created to offer a secure storage solution for the local community. As demand grew, the business expanded into the shipping container market, eventually launching Coast Storage and Containers in 2016. With continued growth across Canada, the focus shifted toward acquiring and improving self-storage facilities, leading to a refined and scalable business model.
In 2017, the Make Space Storage brand was born, marking the start of a new chapter. With a strong foundation in place, the company expanded its offerings to include self-storage, portable storage, vehicle storage, and more. Today, Make Space Storage operates over 55 locations across six provinces, proudly serving both residential and commercial customers with flexible and innovative storage solutions.

I love this facility, I’ve used other storage places but Patrick makes this amazing. He’s so incredibly kind and helpful every time I go in. I have a locker here but today I went in to pick up a package and even though I was away I knew Patrick would not have sent it back. He had it ready for me. This is the kind of personable service that is lacking in so many places these days but not here. Thank you Patrick!

I came in just planning to store a few boxes… and somehow left feeling like I had just experienced the Disney World of storage facilities. The reason? An employee named Patrick.
Patrick greeted me like I was a long-lost friend. Within minutes he had me laughing, showing me around, and explaining storage unit sizes like it was the Storage Olympics. I immediately trusted him with all my worldly possessions.
Patrick somehow managed to find me the perfect unit while making the process painless.
